Cooking & Storage Tips

  • Remove the Pith: The white pith of the orange is the primary source of bitterness. Taking the extra time to peel it off will result in a much smoother, sweeter tea.
  • Customize Your Spice: The cinnamon stick adds a wonderful woody aroma. If you’re not a fan of cinnamon, feel free to skip it.
  • Control the Strength: For a lighter tea flavor that highlights the fruit, use just one tea bag. For a bolder, more robust brew, use two.
  • Don’t Over-Steep: Try not to leave the tea bags in for much longer than 10 minutes, as the tea leaves may start to release tannins, which can make the drink taste slightly astringent.
