Crispy Puff Pastry Cheese Bites
Equipment
- Baking Sheet
- Parchment paper
- Pastry Brush
Ingredients
- 2 sheetspuff pastry (The recipe uses 14 × 14 cm sheets, making about 7–8 small star-shaped pieces.)
- 2 slicescheese or cheese sticks (Usewhichever type of cheese you have on hand.)
- 1 egg (For egg wash.)
- Blackpepper or any savory seasoning
Instructions
- Place the cheese slices in the center of one sheet of puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges for sealing later.

- Beat one egg and brush the egg wash around the edges of the puff pastry. Place another sheet of puff pastry on top and gently press around the edges to seal.

- If you don’t have cheese slices, cheese sticks work just as well. Use whichever type of cheese is easier for you to find.

- Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the puff pastry. The star shape adds a fun touch for parties, but for casual gatherings, cutting the pastry into triangles works just as well.

- Brush egg wash over the surface of the cut puff pastry and sprinkle with black pepper or your favorite savory seasoning.

- Place the puff pastry into the air fryer and air fry at 200°C (392°F) for 10 minutes.

- Once air-fried, the crispy, cheesy puff pastry bites are ready. Enjoy them warm with friends or family.

Cooking & Storage Tips
- Any type of cheese works. Brushing egg wash around the edges helps the two layers of puff pastry seal together properly.
- Seasonings can be adjusted to your taste. Savory seasonings pair best with cheese and puff pastry.
- You can cut the pastry into any shape you like. In the video, we used star shapes, but leftover pastry scraps can also be air-fried or cut into small triangles to avoid wasting ingredients.
